The client is a restaurant with an event hall where they constantly have concerts, and they have to rely on third party platforms for ticket sales and table reservations through a manual process that relies on excel.
By talking with the client and understanding the need for a proprietary platform in which the processes can be limited to the publication of the events scheduled in their agenda. And everything else can happen as automatically as possible.
To do this, taking into account that the client publishes artwork of their events under a standard format in different social networks. I designed a publication format in which they can reuse those same arts already created, both for the banner and for the featured image of the Custom Post. That in turn has a group of fields that collect the specific information of the events.
For the ticketing and seat selection system, I chose the Tickera plugin, because it can be easily integrated with WooCommerce. Which in turn I chose because one of the critical requirements of the client, is the integration with the payment gateway CardNET of which I previously had the opportunity to collaborate in the development of a plugin for WordPress.
The template was developed completely from scratch, using Tailwind as style library and DaisyUI as visual components library. This helped me to rely as little as possible on third-party plug-ins, improving the loading times and the maintenance of the project over time.
